Description:

From the text file :)

Like any good employee I have installed DB at work and so when I get bored I do a little editing. This little level is a product of boredom at work over the last few months. It's nothing spectacular... at all. It's
just a short episode 1 style level, which started out as doodles and ended up as playable.

This level will only be released on http://www.wadsinprogress.info maybe also on my homepage.

WTF? Never realised this was in the works even, until I read about it at NewDoom!

Way to go, Chris, this was a nice fun map! Man, I wish I could do this stuff at work too :)

Pehaps you should work on CH_Retro 2!

This is an excellent wad, in particular with great flow and interconnection, and non-axis-parallel walls. Although I do think Doombuilder users tend to overuse the borders around sectors feature rather too much.:)

Please reconsider your decision not to give this wad a wider release, and upload it to /idgames. The greatest strength of the single-player Doom community alongside source ports is that all the wads are stored in a central location. I believe that if maps were strewn around dozens of websites and personal homepages, no-one would find them and the scene would have died out years ago.

Great wad. You did a really good job of capturing the episode 1 theme; I think the only things that detracted from the authenticity of it were all the border sectors and the way that some of the lights are done (the diamond-shaped ceiling lights cut out as their own little sectors, for example). Not that those things look bad, just that they somewhat lessen its authenticity.

Who am I to argue with you good people and fans out there! :) So I changed the few things you mentioned and I will reconsidder to upload it to the archieves as well.

esselfortium writes:13.04.2007, 07:57 GMT+1

Awesome. Like I said, it's a great map. :)

Nice map. I like eps 1 better then the others so this was perfect for me.
