The Exiled is a 32-Map project and the reincarnation of what was formerly Dark Nexus, by the map author formerly known as Melfice. The Exiled is designed to take full advantage of the Doomsday features including those which are still in beta for 1.9.0. Models, scripting, dynamic lighting, hi-rex textures, and many more features which are being implemented in the project.

The official website for this and other projects (under construction):

A three map demo will be coming soon.

The Exiled project is headed by Xenphire (the sole mapper for the project), while Dani J666 (Doomsday Dev and jDRP administrator) works to help create custom models and hi-res textures of Doom 64 resources among other things. Both of these artists are also working together to create concepts and other things to make things unlike any Doom project you've seen before. The Exiled will go far deeper than Doom 64 did to scare you.

The plot synopsis is yet unclear.

This is awesome. If one were to put your screenshots into words, they would have none. This looks like ruins in Morrowind, so if that's what your going for, keep it up, cause i wanna play this.

The first shot reminds me of Doom 3 in that dark hallway in Delta 2 A or B
where you have to use the tube thing the IMP is in for light.

@Charlemagne - what you posted is considered as spam. Comment on the wads.
Example from me-third shot looks best imo. Very eerie atmosphere.

Great visuals. I'm hoping this plays as good as it looks. ;P

Looks even better now! Great screen shots. The anticipation of a demo is killing me.

Encyclyptic writes:(new) 26.02.2008, 22:54 GMT+1

Hmm. I thought dead mods were removed. Dead, dead dead dead dead. :|

Searon486 writes:(new) 25.07.2008, 08:52 GMT+1

seriously, what happened?

Encyclyptic writes:(new) 16.01.2009, 14:48 GMT+1

Dead of course. That happens all the time. WOuld be nice if the admins tossed out all of the dead mods and maps that just waste and take up space.

Encyclyptic writes:(new) 16.01.2009, 14:48 GMT+1

Especially if it's been years

Dancso writes:(new) 17.01.2009, 02:30 GMT+1

This site is called Wads In Progress for a reason, it does not exist to show done work but projects under development. Who knows, people might continue their long forgotten project some day.

joe2 writes:(new) 02.02.2013, 05:43 GMT+1

so this is dead to bad it looks Fing awsome

pming writes:(new) 06.12.2016, 02:18 GMT+1

*sigh* Yeah, it's almost 2017 now...sad to see this not completed (or being worked on). Doomsday Engine is my favorite engine to play...but GZDoom is my fave to make maps for. That said, DE2 will be getting support for UDMF! :D So mapping *should* be much more..."artist-friendly" with regards to mapping (coloured lights, slopes, etc).

Maybe this project just got 'shuffled' to DE2? Maybe? ...looks longingly to the sky for a sign of hope...
