Description:

Now here's something new, a Strife map! This wad is based on my kaiser_5.wad for Doom2, but converted to Strife format. This wad is mainly designed to test my SvStrife port (based on Prboom sources) but this wad can be run on the oringinal Strife engine. While SvStrife is still lacking the dialog system (still waiting on DeeP to pass down the specs), everything else is fully functional including the enemies up to mission objectives, which will be included in this wad (rather than the basic get a key etc.) and some new surprises.

EDIT: Alright, I decided to drop the kaiser_5.wad conversion and started a new map from scratch, this may be the second Strife map ever released. This will including fully functional scripting, and support for Vanilla Strife, Vavoom, Zdoom, and SvStrife. Although I had yet to test it on all ports rather than Vanilla Strife and SvStrife.

Update: Its done. Nuff said. The download link may be down, if the link is down, then check the IDgame/3dgamer archives.

Certainly seems promising. It's been a while since a Strife level was released. It would be so much better though if we actually had the source code for ports. I can't wait fo SvStrife to come out of beta. All the other ports generally suck due to lack of support, unfinished or just plain crap. Kepp up the good work.

wow...strife

It looks cool.

I loved the original N.E.F., and I'm sure the Strife version will be excellent. Looks very industrial and somewhat both-different and similair to the original, which makes it look cool.
Yeah, we need more Strife ports. I hope there will be a nice objective-based gameplay and puzzles in this level.
EDIT: What About OUTCAST :-(

Kaiser writes:(new) 23.06.2004, 15:30 GMT+1

Outcast? Patience young grasshopper.

Looks good Kaiser. The only thing that bugs me is the texture on the wall to the left in the first screen. It looks cut off along the bottom for one thing. I like your ceiling in the 3rd shot and look forward to playing this jobby.

OMFG A STRIFE LEVEL. Kaiser you can have my baby. :)

EarthQuake writes:(new) 24.06.2004, 00:34 GMT+1

Holy fuck, I've never even seen a custom strife level before.
* Thumbs up *

actually, there was been a few by Gokuma. But the first and only known Strife wad to be uploaded to 3dgamers is The Silenced Lamasery by Gokuma.

Also, please excuse the crude texture placement, this wad went though a quick dm2conv conversion, after that I just took pictures. I plan on retexturing some areas as well as add new areas.
The final version of this wad will feature a 3 level hub (Palladium and Copper Electroplate facilities) and a couple of quests (now that I figured out how to implent dialogs)

hobomaster22 writes:(new) 30.06.2004, 21:41 GMT+1

Stife? Whats strife? :P. Just kidding, the pics look great, cant wait for a beta or something :D. But I've played most of your maps kaiser, and they are all great, and this one just seems awsome.

heh, no. Just to let you know anyways, the Inqusitor is a giant robot that drops one of his arms when killed. You can pick up the arm and take it back to the guy in exchange for a weapon.

I plan on releasing the first public beta once I get that hub system to function without crashing (keeps crashing if the player calls P_NoiseAlert). Along with the release of SvStrife I'll also release the official strife specs.

Ninja_of_DooM writes:(new) 01.07.2004, 18:38 GMT+1

Sounds good to me. When wil SvStrife be out of the Beta stages? I can't wait for it.:-)

I doubt it now that Zdoom has support ;) But good luck. Looking good so far.

IIRC someone released three or four Strife DM maps a few years back. But yeah, looking good :).

Nice looking map kaiser. I'm sure you'll probably rope me into playing it some time o_O

You gotta fix the alignment on that vent shaft type thing in the first shot, otherwise everything looks good. I like the skylights in the third shot, and the blinds type things in screen 2.

/me l00ts o_O

Strife is reborn :D

Infurnus writes:(new) 22.12.2004, 09:03 GMT+1

Buh, maybe I should put my strife level up? :P
